Last Blog

Hey All ~

This is the last one for the class. I had never been much of a blogger (still not too much). However, I will continue to use this blog though. It could evolve into something pretty neat. I need to learn more about personalizing it and making it specific for me. After I do that I will open it up to friends and family.

It's been a great 10 weeks and I really enjoyed the interaction from everyone. Good luck and take care!!!

Nearing the end....

WOW!!! These past 9 weeks have flown by. Just finished up my last couple post and now finishing the last revisions to another paper. Unfortunately, that one will be a day late. I got sick over the weekend with the flu and ear infection and the last piece of this paper is an actual interview with a practitioner that was scheduled for Monday. I had to reschedule for Wednesday. But that's okay....I'll get er' done!!!! I hope everyone has enjoyed class as much as I have and I am sure that I will continue to see many of you throughout my KU career. Be Blessed and stay encouraged!!!!

Buying a house

WHEW!!! I am in the process of buying a house ~ 1st time ~ and let me tell you...this is NERVE RACKING!!! I am probably being overly cautious about everything and nitpicking, but hey...this is a llooonngggg term investment that I will be living in for a long time so it needs to be good for me.

Any and all advice for a 1st time buyer is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BLAH and triple BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so ready to finish my degree in Health and Wellness so I can begin to enjoy my work and what I do. It is taking everything in me to muster up enough strength to walk through the doors at my current workplace EVERYDAY. I am so very thankful that I do have a job especially in the economic times we are all facing right now, HOWEVER, it has become evident that employers are taking advantage of this knowing that jobs are hard to find and ect. This is not only something I feel with my job but is being echoed amongst people in other industries.

It's disheartening that I begin my countdown to the weekend on Sunday nights!!!!!!!!!!

Non Productive Week :-(

Hey all~

This week has been very unproductive week for me. Slow on getting post up, blogging, hit a wall with writing the draft of our research paper (still not completely done) and this is the theme in my other class as well. I was glad we had today off for MLK Holiday otherwise all my assignments would be late this week. But I am back on track....I will have the draft done and turned in on time. It won't be my best work, but I guess that is why it is called a "rough draft". I hope everyone else is having better luck than me. In looking at the post draft outlines it does seem that way.

Diggin' In

Hey All ~

I hope everyones Holidays were enjoyable and you took advantage of the time off!!!! I tried to...dabbled a bit in school work but really just tried to kick back and enjoy some "me-time". Now that we are back into full swing, it is time to get back to writing this research paper. Everything seems to be moving along pretty good. Not falling behind and able to keep pace with each Unit. One thing that I seem to be encountering is information overload. I think I may have found too many resources and now it is a matter of narrowing them down. Fortunately, some of the research founded is repetitive so that makes it easier to weed out some of the material.

Well not too much to blog about this week. Hope everyone is enjoying the class and the blogging.

Holidays

Well all ~ this Holiday season has been bit of a bummer for me. This is the first year that I have had Christmas and New Year without my children. They are spending it with their dad in Chicago this year and it's been a rough few days (my sons birthday is December 31st on top of that). We typically do up the holidays pretty big ~ big dinner, putting up the tree and decorations, baking the cookies for Santa (my daughter is 9), Christmas breakfast....the whole shebang!!! My house has been so quiet, I have read 2 books in 2 days and about to start on my third, my to-do list that I thought would last me from Dec 18th - Jan 1st was done by Dec 20th, and I have 6 more days to go before my daughter comes home (my son lives with their dad in Chicago, but he has been coming down here for the past 2 years since I relocated). Being away from family during this time has really made me take a look at where I am at logistically and considering relocating (again). And on top of all that.... I found 3 gray hairs in my head!!!!!
